Casa Vera: Mexican Tradition on La Cholla Boulevard
The former Tamarind address at 7265 N. La Cholla Boulevard now welcomes diners as Casa Vera, a regional Mexican restaurant that opened in August.
Its hacienda-inspired setting brings together hand-plastered walls, cantera stone from Jalisco, custom woodwork, and murals by Tucson artist Ignacio Garcia. The family behind the restaurant also has ties to Guadalajara Original Grill, giving longtime Tucson diners a familiar connection to this new destination.
Opening menu offerings included chile colorado, tamales paisanos, and tacos featuring rib eye, mushrooms, and pork belly chicharrón. A spacious dining room and patio provide options for gathering with friends or sharing a leisurely meal.
Casa Vera now lists daily hours of 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., making it an option for lunch as well as dinner. Explore reservations through Casa Vera’s website or call 520 492 4042.
